HAPPY EASTER!
HAPPY EASTER, folks!

Well, thanks for all your get well messages, folks - I did finally shake off the dreaded lurgi ... and, after a period of not being able to smell anything at all ... I finally appreciated it hugely when I could finally enjoy one of Nature's finest perfumes ... a hyacinth!
I can't share the perfume with you, but I hope you will find a hyacinth or two to sniff over this holiday time.
And here is a 3-D picture of my hyacinth, for which I was truly grateful. It has not grown with all the florets that it would have done when the growers first delivered it ... this is what happens to these bulbs, it seems, over a few years .. - they revert gradually to their wild form ... something very close to a bluebell .. but the perfume remains just as wonderful. Like they say, you don't know what you got til it's gone ...

... and close-up, those florets are quite magnificent ... the equal of any exotic lily ... but on a tiny scale.
